Brewery comes to an end
A boutique brewery based in Stawell made a shock announcement just over a week ago that it plans to close immediately. Grampians Ale Works has been operating for around five years from the old dry cleaners premises in Victoria Place. But, despite huge popularity and a regular clientele, the owners posted on social media that the doors are now closed.

“After much thought, we’re sharing that Grampians Ale Works is closing. We’re incredibly grateful to every customer who supported us, shared kind words, and became part of our journey. Your patronage meant more to us than we can express. Thank you for allowing us to do what we loved.
“Thank you for the memories, the support, and the trust over the years,” they said.
The post received numerous comments from local customers who have patronised the business since it began.
“I for one will miss you. You gave Stawell a place to be proud of, a place to gather and meet friends, share fabulous beers, wines, gin, cider…an eclectic little patch of “special.” One customer wrote.
Another wrote “Thankyou for all the time and energy you put into to providing your venue, you have shown our town that there is a space for this kind of space.”
The Stawell Times-News attempted to contact the owners for comment but they declined an interview at this time.
