Another week passes…. but no Donna
ONE Nation’s Candidate for Ripon remains a bit of a mystery and is yet to speak with local media or councils. Donna Buxton was selected as One Nation’s candidate several months ago, but several requests by West Vic News for a chat have been ignored.
Initially, Ms Buxton would refer us to One Nation’s head office, but now we hear nothing.
Email after email goes unanswered.
We were getting a bit paranoid, but she is also avoiding contact with other media including the Loddon Herald, Maryborough Advertiser, NCN Herald and ABC Radio.
Ms Buxton has also not responded to repeated questions whether she will attend the Ararat Advocate/Greater Ararat Business Network candidates forum on November 17.
However, we were pleased that Jeff Barry, Libertarian candidate, popped his head into the Ararat office this week.
Jeff is a farmer from Amphitheatre and is running because he wants a better standard of politicians representing us in Spring Street and Canberra.
Oh, and yes, Jeff is coming to the candidates forum in Ararat on November 17 and he also jokes that’s he’s available to play Santa at Christmas parties.
