The six-year-old bay gelding took out the $30,000 1650m race, beating Sydney-based galloper Military Zone and race favourite Category Five of New Zealand.
It was the second successive win for Stawell-based trainer Andrew Bobbin.
Carrying 55kg, the British-born Dubai Dominion went into the race at $3.20, behind $3 favourite Category Five (55kg).
With just 400m left, it looked to be the Austy Coffey-trained gelding's day, as he galloped by front-runner So He Rules.

However, Horsham jockey Christine Puls pushed the gelding with 200m left and he powered home to win by two lengths.
Dubai Dominion's owners took home $16,500 for winning the annual Boxing Day race.
Bobbin enjoyed three wins across the seven-race meet.
Race favourite Princess Pancakes delivered the 43-year-old his first win of the day in race three, edging out Blooming Crafty by two lengths.
In the final race of the day, Boom Boom Sweet ensured locked in the treble for Bobbins in convincing fashion, defeating Bassons by 3.5 lengths.
The Swan Hill-based Coffey did go home with a win with four-year-old gelding Bannerton taking out race five, the 2100m handicap race, taking home $11,000.
