This time a COVID-19 vaccination clinic was facilitated onsite at Eventide's Kingston Community Centre, where vaccinations were offered to new residents, families of residents and families of staff and volunteers.
On Wednesday September 22, anyone involved in the Eventide Homes family had the opportunity to receive a dose of the vaccine via their clinic.
Enrolled nurse at Eventide Homes Tammy Erwin jumped at the chance for her family members to be vaccinated for protection from COVID-19.
"Our experience was so easy. I am incredibly grateful that Eventide Homes ran a clinic for families," she said.

"I'm already fully vaccinated from earlier this year, but it was a stress-free experience where my children, Mackenna and Brandon, could get vaccinated too so they could protect others and themselves."
Eventide Homes chief executive Gary Simpson said running the additionally vaccination clinic gives the home an added level of protection with more people in the community vaccinated.
"We want to make sure our people are safe and protected," he said.

"We also know that vaccination helps reduce transmission, which means every person who gets vaccinated is doing their bit to protect those around them.
"This is a great achievement for Eventide Homes and backs-up our reputation for being a community-focused provider of aged care within Stawell for more than 65 years".
Although the vaccination clinic targeted families of residents and staff, more doses were delivered than needed.
At short notice Eventide Homes was able to vaccinate other members of the community too, ensuring no doses were wasted.
Earlier in September Eventide Homes met its government mandated vaccination requirement after an Australian Government Department of Health directive issued in 2021 said from September 17 2021, residential aged care workers must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
Full time, part-time and casual residential aged care workers, volunteers engaged by a facility, and students on placement are required to receive a minimum first dose COVID-19 vaccine by this time.
