Paul Jones and Mr. Mischief kicked of August for Stawell trainers with a win at Ballarat on the synthetic over 2200 metres.
Paul Jones and Mr. Mischief then backed up the result the following week for another win over the 2100 metres at Pakenham, again on the synthetic turf.
It is good to see Mr Mischief back in form for the stable.
There was also a big honour for the The Dane Smith trained Fratello during August.

Fratello finished his Mildura season being named The Mildura Horse of the Year, after recording two wins from five starts and a third place.
The Mark Pegus stable finished off the month with Airwing storming home to win over 1000m at Warracknabeal.
The Pegus household put the final polish on August with his partner, Linda Meech, returning to Caulfield with two pick up rides on South Australian horses visiting for the spring.
Meech piloted He's A Balter to victory over 1100m and finished a close second in the Group 1 Moet & Chandon Memsie Stakes.
It was a fantastic start back to city racing for the local jockey.
Off the racing track, Judd Smith, a registered strapper and son of local trainer Dane Smith, set himself the challenge of Pawgust.

Pawgust is a fundraiser for the Guide Dogs of Australia.
Smith set out to raise $500 and walk 100 kilometres with his two dogs, Taz and Holly, during August.
The commitment to the cause saw young Smith raise $3200 and walk 160 kilometres, well above his target amount.
The Stawell Racing Club congratulates Smith on a great effort.
