I used to be a player years ago, but I started coaching in 2018 with the Under-14s.
I did that for the last three or four years and then moved onto the Under-17s in 2021.
What do you love most about volunteering with the Warriors?
I just love the club and they are a great club to be around.
They are a great family club and this is a great bunch of players to try and bring through the ranks and get them ready to play senior football.

Why do you choose to volunteer with the Warriors?
Just to watch the players succeed.
To see Lachie (Dalkin) and Sam (Jenkinson) play in the seniors and progress into good senior footballers has been exciting examples of that.
They are not just going out there to fill a spot, they are playing a role and that is the most rewarding thing for us as coaches.
What is your number one highlight in your time volunteering?
As far as coaching goes, with these players in our last year of the under-14s we made the finals, which was great.
It had been a little while since the players had gotten into the finals, but it was great to see them get in there.
And even this year has been a highlight. Seeing the growth and development of the players, especially after the turbulent 2020.
It is good to see how much they have improved and how much they are enjoying it.
Q. Who is the player from your club you've most enjoyed watching?
There has been a lot of different players who have been great to watch with Stawell.
Tony Beck back in the day and Simon Sutterby was another one to watch.
And if you look at the future players now like Jackson Dark, Tom Eckel and Jay Moody, they are spectacular to watch.
