Stawell Regional Health's very own COVID-19 clinic opened its doors for providing vaccinations to the community on Monday, with the development a sign of Stawell Regional Health's commitment to providing local health services for our community.

The new site has opened in Building C at Stawell Regional Health, with the new site ensuring the COVID-19 clinic team will be able to run regular vaccination clinics each week.
Vaccination appointments will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
"We understand that our community do not want to travel outside the region twice to receive their vaccinations, it is time consuming and costly," CEO Stawell Regional Health Kate Pryde said.

"To support our community, we saw whole teams working together tirelessly to deliver this new vaccination section of the COVID-19 clinic in a comfortable space ahead of the planned date.
"Thanks to maintenance, building contractors, supply, IT, environmental services, administration and the clinical teams, we are very proud of their efforts."
According to Stawell Regional Health's Operations Manager Paula Noble, the new site will also allow more clinic days for when they receive more vaccination doses and demand increases

Stawell Regional Health Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator and COVID-19 clinic lead Helen Kennedy said she was happy to assure the community that the Stawell Regional Health staff are ready for the individual experience of each person coming in to be vaccinated, with professional care.
"We want you to know that being vaccinated against COVID-19 will help save lives and livelihoods in our community," she said.
The Clinical Labs collection centre, which was located in Building C at Stawell Regional Health, was moved last month to make way for the COVID-19 clinic.
