“Just before we headed off, a local police officer said we were called to another one at MacKenzie Falls,” Mr Blight said.
“About 200 metres below MacKenzie Falls a 35 year old woman had fallen and injured her leg.
“She was able to weight bear slightly before we got her to a stretcher.”
Both people were taken to hospital for observation, neither suffering serious injuries.
Monday’s second rescue marked the seventh incident for Stawell SES in “a little over a week”.
Mr Blight said the incidents serve as a reminder to people walking in the Grampians to “be prepared”.
“It is about doing the right things before going out there, such as bringing water and wearing sturdy footwear,” he said.
“It is also important to notify people you are going for a walk and to make sure you watch where you are walking when in the Grampians.”
