Mayor Tony Driscoll said the program supported community groups and organisations to “enrich the social fabric” of the community.
It features two rounds, with the opening round seeking applications for projects that enhance active living, improve mental wellbeing or that support early years initiatives.
Groups can apply for up to $5000 and applications close on September 28.
Cr Driscoll said applications must discuss their project with the council’s community development officer before their project is due to commence.
He said people could apply via www.ngshire.vic.gov.au/Council-Services/Council-grants/Community-Grants-Program or phone 5358 8700 for more.
