The sixth-placed Baggies take on the seventh-placed Demons in a game that could have big ramifications for finals.
The Demons sit six points behind the Baggies after eight rounds. A loss would see them drop 10 points back – a big two and a half games behind.
Swifts coach Scott Carey said he expects another big contest one week after defeating another finals contender in Noradjuha-Quantong. “The league is that even this year there isn't a week off as such,” he said.
“We are happy the game means something and has a fair bit riding on the result.”
The rivalry between Swifts and Laharum has burned strongly in recent seasons, including Swifts claiming the 2014 premiership over the Demons.
Carey said while his side is very different to the team that won the 2014 flag, games against Laharum are always competitive.
“Our list is pretty different to last year and even the year before but there is definitely still a rivalry between the two clubs,” he said.
“We have had some really close games in the past which makes it a bit more interesting.
“They play their footy the right way and it is always a close hard fought game. We enjoy playing against them.”
Both teams will be at near full strength come Saturday, with playing coaches Robbie Miller and Carey making their return from injury for their respective sides last weekend.
Carey said Miller is a big inclusion for the opposition.
“Robbie is a huge in for them. His leadership out on the ground is something they rely on,” he said.

“No one likes to sit out with injuries which I have had first hand experience with this season.
“My hand is completely fine and I’m happy with how it pulled up. It’s business as usual now.” Josh Reid will be given another chance for Swifts after making his debut last weekend, impressing his coach in his first game.
“He not only played well for his first game but he contributed to the win,” Carey said.
“We will give him another go at it and hopefully we can see another great performance from the young guy.”
A win is crucial for Swifts to keep in touch with the top-half of the top-six teams.
Carey said his side will need to remain focused for four quarters against the Demons.
“We want to start well which is important on our home deck,” he said.
“We really have to minimise the time we switch off if any at all. We are searching for that even spread of consistency.”
