Tasmanian sprinter Jacob Despard took out the men’s honours, while Elizabeth Forsyth won the women’s – both claiming $40,000 pocket money.

Despard was the fourth Tasmanian to win the big prize at Central Park, winning comfortably as a backmarker.
Forsyth, from the Gold Coast, blitzed the field to justify the hype surrounding her.
She traditionally trains on sand, but showed that grass was not a problem.
