Western Highway reopened byVicRoads after police and emergency services respond to Beaufort road collision

VicRoads has reopened the Western Highway at Beaufort.

EARLIER – 9.30am

VicRoads has closed the Western Highway in both directions due to a traffic collision at Beaufort on Tuesday morning.

“Please delay your travel or seek an alternative route,” a VicRoads statement said. 

“Expect delays and obey emergency services instruction on site.”

Emergency services were called to a collision  at the outskirts of Beaufort on the Western Highway at 8.51am on Tuesday.

The incident scene was listed as on the Ballarat side of Beaufort just past the Olinda Street intersection.

The air ambulance is on the way to the crash, according to an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson.

A woman in her 40s and two young children are currently being treated by paramedics.

Police and VicRoads workers have started directing traffic off the highway as far away as the Sunraysia Highway.
