Navarre Football Netball Club will have a new look with a new coach and co-presidents appointed to the club.
Former player Krystal Browne will return to the club after playing her junior career with the Grasshoppers.
She said it was great to return to the club and take on the senior role.
“I have had a strong history with the club, so it is great to return to the club this season,” she said.
“It is quite surreal really, it is nice that I do have that history and connection with the club.
“I have been away for over a decade now, but I just started a family and am looking to settle down in Landsborough.”
The club will also take a long-term approach to the season after recent successes at the club.
Browne said development will be a heavy focus with the new coach looking to sustained success as the motivating factor.
“I think this year we are looking at a bit of a rebuilding phase for the club,” she said.
“We are still in the process of confirming a lot of the names for the year but the focus will be on trying to get back to basics, working on individual skills and developing our junior players.”
It is Browne’s first role as a coach after many years of playing.
She said it was an exciting step for her to take within the sport.
“I have been involved as a player over the years but this is my first coaching appointment which is really exciting,” she said.
“The game of netball has changed quite a bit and playing junior games is different to playing senior games.
“So I will be big on developing our players’ versatility at both levels which is important for the future.”
There has also been changes at board level with some familiar faces taking on important roles for the 2018 season.
Katrina Slorach and Colleen Parry will take over the presidency in a shared role at the club this year.
Parry said it was good to get back involved in the club at one of the top roles.
“I think both Katrina and I have been involved in the club for the past few years,” she said.
“We have had great support from our new committee, we work really well together and i’m sure we will have a good year.”
Navarre will open its season at Carisbrook against the Redbacks on April 14.
