Ararat, Stawell burglaries: man charged, bailed to appear in court

POLICE have arrested an Ararat man after a series of alleged burglaries.

Ararat Crime Investigation Unit detectives executed a search warrant at an Ararat property on February 15.

They recovered a large amount of allegedly stolen property, including a trailer and a horse float.

Police allege the burglaries took place in schools and sporting clubs in the Ararat, Stawell, Great Western and Moyston areas between November and January.

Police arrested and charged a man, 53, with 29 counts of burglary and theft, and bailed him to appear in Stawell Magistrates Court on May 15.
