And now people and vehicles are queuing up to take photos in front of it.
The mural of a vintage car proved to be the perfect spot for a photograph on the weekend as the Halls Gap Hot Rod Run rolled through Stawell.
Chalk Circle’s Peter Voice said it was a great feeling to see the impact his work of art had on the community since completing it last year.
“People were queuing up to take photos – It was great to see all those people and classic cars in front of it,” he said.
“The objective of the mural was to promote the town, so it is good to see that happening.”
Mr Voice said the wall used for the mural was part of a building which used to be a garage in the past.
“There is a long term ambition to turn the building into a vintage machinery museum, so I wanted the mural to be of a similar theme,” he said.
