It was a first Valentine’s Day at Stawell for Little Stems Florist and shop co-owner Melanie …. said they went through about 80 orders.
“It started from Tuesday morning going to Ballarat at 7.30am to pick up our supplies and then getting back at lunch and staying until 11.30pm organising flower arrangements,” she said.
“Customers were going for a real mixture this year – both roses and flower assortments with different colours.”
Further up the Main Street and Stawell Florist saw double the amount of sales from last year’s Valentine’s Day.
Shop owner Trudy Grellet said the traditional red rose was a common pick, but also noted teddy bears were popular.
“The roses are always popular but the teddies were very big this year,” she said.
