Redman Road is now safe for public use after contractors completed flood recovery works at the track off Grampians Road.
The road was graded, but the surface is still “very loose and dusty” according to the latest Parks Victoria roads report.
Repair works on Mitchell Road, Mount William Picnic Ground Road, Mafeking Road and Emmett Road are expected to start this week.
Drivers on these roads can expect speed restrictions and road closures during the duration of the repair works.
Fire recovery works also continued at Zumsteins Cottages in the Grampians after the site was damaged during the 2014 Northern Grampians bushfires.
The middle cottage was replaced, while expert stone masons also completed restoration works to the walls.
Contractors will continue to develop new interpretive signage for the area.
Fire recovery works started at the accommodation cottages in October last year when contractors removed a small amount of asbestos from the site.
More than 51,800 hectares was burnt in the region’s 2014 bushfires.
