A woman, 40, was winched from the Pinnacle Track after falling and hurting her knee while hiking on the popular tourist path.
The woman was flown to Ararat hospital in a stable condition.
Stawell SES duty officer Jenny Rooke said the injured hiker was found between Bridal Veil Falls and Silent Street, about three quarters up on the Pinnacle Track.
“She was flown out with an injured knee, but we don’t yet know the extent of that injury,” she said.
“Just a reminder to hikers to be careful and to mind your step when walking on these types of trails.”

Stawell State Emergency Service crews are scrambling to reach a female in her forties who has fallen on the Pinnacle track and hurt her knee.
SES duty officer Jenny Rooke said crews were on their way to meet police and paramedics at the Halls Gap Police Station.
“At this stage we know that she has hurt her knee but don’t know how badly, about three quarters of the way up on the Pinnacle track,” she said.
“We’ll drive up the four-wheel drive track and walk from there, so hopefully we can find her quickly and respond to her injuries.”
