This year’s festival lineup includes 20 Australian bands including Polish Club, Tired Lion, Didirri, Press Club, Heaps Good Friends and Ruby Fields, who were receiving regular airplay on Triple J and commercial radio stations.
Festival director Carly Flecknoe said the event was a unique opportunity for people across the region to see “awesome live music right on their doorstep”.
“Aside from the music, the festival also offers food trucks containing wood-fired pizza, Indian food, pulled meats, an ice-cream van, coffee, gozleme and a sausage sizzle, and a bar, the Prickly Moses bus, the Blue Pyrenees Estate Wine Garden and the VIP Cocktail Bar from Patient Wolf Gin,” she said.
“Kids are very welcome with tickets for under 12s free and a heap of activities for them including the ArtScape and Brambuk activity tents, and a Cool Down Zone where they can splash and squirt each other.
“Everyone on the committee is local and we want to see a great turn-out from our neighbours.
“We’ve secured some of the most exciting acts going around at the moment – if you love live Australian music, you’d be crazy not to come.”
Ms Flecknoe said one-day tickets would be on sale from Tuesday, January 30 and would be available on the door if they did not sell out before.
“This is an awesome opportunity for locals - whether you’re from Horsham, Ararat, St Arnaud, Stawell and anywhere in between - to see these high-calibre acts without having to travel to Melbourne. So get your friends together and get to Halls Gap for February 2-4,” Ms Flecknoe said.
Set times were also being released this week with an announcement to be made on the Grampians Music Festival Facebook page.
“The Grampians Music Festival 2018 line-up was announced in September, attracting the attention of some of the industry’s hard hitters, including Triple J, for the fantastic range of up-and-coming talent that will grace the Valley Stage,” Ms Flecknoe said.
