Ms Reading who achieved an ATAR score of 83.55 said it was a “big relief” to finally have confirmation about what and where she will be studying in 2018.
“It was what I wanted to get into, so I was really excited and relieved when I found out,” she said.
Ms Reading said she will be the first from both her immediate and extended family to attend university.
“Everyone was excited for me and they have all been super supportive during the whole journey,” she said.
Ms Reading said living on a farm meant agriculture was where her heart was, and she was intent on pursuing it further.
“I’m around farming and animals, I love it, it really is where my heart is,” she said.
“But I also want to live in Melbourne to experience that lifestyle while studying. “Now I am just waiting on colleges to get back to me about accommodation and then i’m all ready to move.”
