The money is awarded to successful students at the school’s annual awards night later this month.
Marnoo Masonic Lodge Master Andrew Reading said they continued to support the school in this manner every year.
“Every year we donate small amounts of money and Stawell Secondary College is one of the ones we frequently donate to,” he said.
“This money might help one of the students further on in their careers and anything we can do to help that then we are on board.
“Our youth are the future of our community and without their participation in civic organisations our community will surely suffer.”
Stawell Secondary Principal Nick Lynch said it was crucial students knew they were supported by the community around them.
“It’s not just about the money, it’s about the community supporting the youth of Stawell,” he said.
“The values of Freemasonry are values we would like to have in our kids too – it’s about improving themselves, trying to be the best person they can be and to have compassion for others – it’s a good association and good practical support.”
The school’s awards night will be on Wednesday, December 20.
