Saturday's A Grade matches will become one instead of two day games.
This change will allow the league to host its Twenty20 competition the following weekend of December 16 and 17. Grampians Cricket Association president David Turner said the change allows a bigger break for players going into Christmas.
"We confirmed on Thursday morning that we would change this week to a one-day game," he said.
"The final round of the year was meant to be on December 23 which some clubs thought was too close to Christmas. We will just push everything back a week in the new year."
