Stawell police said the red Mazda was vandalised while it was parked on Fisher Street between 9pm on Tuesday and 6.30am on Wednesday.
The vehicle was left with scratches along the driver’s side and above the tail lights.
The owner of the car took to social media to condemn the act.
“I hope no one else has to wake up to a nice surprise like this, seriously got nothing better to do,” she said.
Stawell police are investigating the incident and have appealed to members of the public for information.
Police officers also encouraged Stawell residents to ensure their vehicles were locked and any valuables removed or hidden from the view of passersby after a spate of car thefts in November.
If you or somebody you know has details about this incident you should contact Stawell Police on 5358 8222 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
