ARARAT McDonald’s trainee shift supervisor Axl Pearce will be heading overseas on his dream holiday after winning an Olympics style competition against fellow workers.

Mr Pearce, aged 19, won a series of heats against his Ararat colleagues, then other stores and finally against 10,000 McDonald’s employees in Victoria and Tasmania for a ‘Super Crew’ award.
The awards were given for the best quality and speed across 13 areas of service.
Mr Pearce said his area was at the deep fryer preparing nuggets and fries.
“I didn’t expect a restaurant as a small as Ararat would have a chance a winning,” he said.
Mr Pearce was presented with his award at a ceremony in Melbourne on the weekend that was MC’d by Bachelorette star Sophie Monk
As a prize, Mr Pearce will be heading to Los Angeles for an all expenses paid learning 8-day tip with admission to Universal Studios, Disneyland and other attractions.
“It’s my dream to go to California. I’ve always wanted to go travelling but I never thought I’d be able to do go until I was 40. I’m ecstatic that McDonald’s has paid for me to go,” he said.
