Jake Myerscough continued a good start to the season for Quantong by hitting his way to 47 while Robert Caris’s 40 provided good support.
Not even five wickets by Nic Ballagh could stop the side from reaching 9-180 off its 40 overs. In reply early wickets fell fast for Lubeck-Murtoa.
The side collapsed to 7-38 before a stubborn batting lineup managed to bat out the overs but could only muster 84 runs.
Rup-Minyip won its second game of the season by defeating Laharum.
Gavin Young and Blake Turner each retired upon reaching 50 as the Blue Panthers scored an impressive 6-206.
Jeremy Tyler’s 44 runs were the only real highlight for Laharum in the chase as the side struggled to 9-109 off its 40 overs.
Colts made short work of its run chase against Jung Tigers. Colin Flack, 50 not out, and Daniel Collins, 31 not out, guided the side to its target of 102 within 21 overs.
