The home side’s decision after winning the toss to bat first was proven to be the right one, after they set a massive target of 280 from their 75 overs.
Travis Horvatek and Brent Tate got the innings off to a flying start for Aradale, putting on 49 before Tate was run out.
Horvatek lost his wicket on 32 not long after, with Riley Wood following suit to be dismissed for just four runs.
Scott Turner and Aradale captain Tyler Cronin steadied things for the batting side, taking control over the Grasshoppers’ bowlers.
The two combined for a partnership of 82 to edge Aradale close to the 150 mark.
Turner eventually fell on 80, but Aradale’s bottom order accelarted the run rate to push the total to 280 with just six wickets lost.
Five Navarre bowlers took one wicket each.
