A Melbourne woman, 30, was stretchered from the Balconies Track at the Grampians after she fell on the popular tourist trail about 12.15pm on Friday.
She was taken to Stawell Regional Health with a suspected sprained ankle.
Stawell State Emergency Service duty officer Jenny Rooke said the incident occurred at an accessible point in the track, which allowed emergency services to respond quickly.
“We brought out the stretcher and paramedics had her ankle strapped up,” she said.
“Even though the track is an easy one accidents can still happen and everybody has to be careful when hiking in the Grampians.
“With the warmer weather coming up more people will be out in the National Park, so we remind everyone to wear appropriate footwear, have lots of water and be prepared for the weather conditions.”
Ambulance Victoria and police also attended the scene.
