Forest Fire Management Victoria and the Country Fire Authority have reschduled a planned burn around Camp Hill Road at Beaufort.
Firefighters had originally scheduled the planned burn’s ignition for October 10 but postponed the operation twice due to unsuitable forecast weather conditions.
“The Beaufort - Camp Hill Road planned burn noted below scheduled for ignition on 20th October has been postponed due to unsuitable weather conditions,” a Forest Fire Management Victoria statement said.
“We will be continuing to monitor the weather and fuel conditions and look to deliver this burn within a period of good forecasted conditions from next week Monday October 23 to Thursday October 26.”
When the planned burn takes place, smoke might be visible from nearby localities and communities, which could also be affected by smoke from this planned burn.
