Elmhurst will take to the court for the first time this season when it hosts the reigning premier  in an intriguing battle.

Ararat is coming off a loss while Elmhurst had a bye in the opening round, leading to the important showdown that will have ramifications later in the season.

The defending champions cannot afford to fall further behind the top teams and will be out to get the points and notch up the first win of their season.

In the other round’s fixture, Buangor will face a tough match against the ladder leaders Crowlands in a bid to notch up its second win of the season.

Landsborough will have a bye in round two to regroup after its opening round loss before returning to the court in round three to face Buangor.

Cloudy conditions and mild temperatures are expected, so heat should not be an issue for any of the players.
