It was a tough weekend for the 15 and under team representing the Wimmera-Mallee region as it could not manage a win across the two days.
Stawell netball director Kathryn Clayton said it was amazing having two girls in the team.
“To have two juniors represent the club such a high level is great,” she said.
“They have stepped up this season and have shown commitment to the sport.
“While they are great players they are also great kids.”
Both Cosson and O’Callaghan were given A Grade experience in 2017.
The team managed a draw against North Central in its first game on Sunday and was within five goals of their opponents in 10 out of 17 games.
Coach Bianca Mibus said her team had an amazing weekend.
“It’s great for the region to be able to send a team away to play at such a high standard,” she said.
She said despite not winning coming within one goal of Two Bays was a highlight of the weekend.
“They made it through to the semi-finals and finished third,” she said.
“That goes to show how well we were playing.”
She said the team had done well given its limited preparations.
“Because we are such a big region we only had the opportunity to train together a handful of times,” she said.
