There was perfect shooting conditions for the continental day of shooting.
Beaufort’s Charlie Caldwell took out the high gun award, with a score of 125/135.
10 shooters were in the money in the 10 target continental pointscore eye opener.
Colin Dunn took out the 25 target northwest zone continental pointscore, with Ballarat’s Wayne Calaby winning the A Grade, Ron Hounsell claiming the B Grade and Central Wimmera’s Doug Harris winning the C Grade.
The 30 target continental double barrel trophy event was won by Bill Jorgensen.
On the weekend we had a nice spring day

Colin Dunn took out his second victory for the day, winning the AA Grade.
Charlie Caldwell took out the B Grade win to join his high gun victory on the day.
Doug Harris won his second event of the day to take out the C Grade victory.
Callawadda / Stawell Clay Target Club secretary Colin Dunn said he expects more people to get involved as the weather improves.
“On the weekend we had a nice spring day,” he said.
“As the weather gets better we should get more and more people giving shooting a good try.
