Marshman tallied 29 votes to breeze to the personal accolade in the 2017 season.
The versatile attacker and defender has had her fair share of games this year playing when called upon for the A Grade side.
She received votes in 11 games during the season and will play finals netball after her team finished fifth.
Marshman wasn’t present on the night of the vote count.
Jeparit-Rainbow netballer Tessa Marra was runner-up 17 and under best and fairest for the 2017 season after being given 24 votes.
Marra also received votes in 11 games for the season and will play finals for the Storm after finishing sixth.
Jordie McAuliffe of Laharum was a close third for the 17 and under netballers tallying 23 votes from nine games.
McAuliffe has been a standout player in the A Grade Mountain Maids outfit who sit on top of the league ladder.
Two Horsham District league netballers were named best and fairest for the 15 and under 2017 season after they both tallied 27 overall votes.
Southern Mallee Giant Danita Molly Reid and Noradjuha-Quantong Bomber Mikayla Treacy both gained 27 votes.
Reid received votes in 14 games for the 2017 season while Treacy received votes in 10 games.
Three players missed the personal accolade by one vote in Bomber Abby Hallam, Taylors Laker Ella Slorach and Jeparit-Rainbow Stormer Olivia Revell.
There was a clear best and fairest in the 13 and under competition in Laker Kayla Kelm.
Kelm tallied 31 votes from 11 games, six ahead of the runner-ups.
Three players were equal on votes to receive the runner-up best and fairest award in Edenhope-Apsley Saint Tahlia Cardnell, Kalkee netballer Mia McGrath and Jeparit-Rainbow Stormer Millie Kuhne.
They all tallied 25 votes from the regular season.
17 and under runner-up Marra said her team helped her win the personal trophy.
“You can’t win anything without a team and I think as much as I got it, they all did,” she said.
Marra said her team is playing some good netball at the moment.
“We’re up there, we’re playing finals. We have a team of five with a few fill-ins each week and those fill-ins mean everything to us, without them we wouldn’t have had a team,” she said.
“We’ve done pretty well considering.”
Marra has a strong work ethic.
“I try my hardest for everything and really, if this is what I get at the end of the day, it’s what I get but it’s the sport that keeps me happy, not the medals and the trophies,” she said.
“I love my sport. I’d like to thank my mum, my dad and coaches.”
15 and under best and fairest winner Treacy said it was a team effort. “My highlight was finishing the season in second,” she said.
