The Grampians Cricket Association is planning to abandon its C Grade competition ahead of the 2017-18 season after player participation issues in the past two seasons.

The move could mean Youth Club and Navarre would move up into A Grade after contesting the B Grade decider last season.
Association president Dave Turner said plans have already started for an expansion.
We have got an idea that has been thrown at us about forming a premier league,” he said.
“It will probably be an extension of A Grade, what they are talking about is three teams from Horsham, one from Nhill, one from Stawell and one from Ararat.
“There is no way it will get up for this season but it is something we will be getting some feedback from clubs about.” The association is also looking for someone to take on the treasurer role along with a junior coordinator. The AGM is set for August 28 at the Great Western Football Clubrooms at 7pm.
