More than $4000 was raised on the day, the largest amount out of the four years it has been run.
As well as raising funds, seven-year-old Ethan was given the chance to be a ‘Rebel for a Day’. Ethan recently underwent open heart surgery and is a former resident of Ronald McDonald House Parkville.
Ethan was a part of the Rebels’ pre-game team meetings and warm-up, tossed the coin to start the game, spoke on TAC Cup Radio as well as receiving a special Rebels kit, the same the players wear.
GWV Rebels talent manager Phil Partington said he was pleased with how the day unfolded.
“It’s fantastic that the GWV Rebels community could come together once again to raise so much money for Ronald McDonald House Charities,” he said.
