The Rats got the point in the opening round on Good Friday at North Park with Ararat out to make it two from two at Alexandra Oval in the round eight match.
Ararat coach Lauren Armstrong said the result from round one will not play on the players’ minds for this match.
“We are going into it feeling confident, we definitely want to make sure we improve from the last game and have a bigger win than last time,” she said.
“We will have a different line-up this week compared to the first match, so it is a new match in that regard.
“Cecilia Stewart is still out, but Krystal Fisher will be back into the team which will strengthen our defence.”
The Warriors have yet to win a game this season but the Rats will not go into the match lightly, with the rivalry between the two teams
“They will definitely be trying to steal the win and I am sure,” Armstrong said.
“We are still working on stringing the four quarters together, we are starting to put that together now and hopefully we can do it again on Saturday.”
With Rats sitting in fifth spot, finals is realistic, something Armstrong said the team believed from the start of the season.
“Our aim all along was to get into the top five, we knew we had a team that can play at that level and we are sitting in a good place,” she said.
“Everyone is really confident and excited and we are aiming high and we know we are capable of achieving big things.”
The game starts at 2.15pm.
