The Gordon Street house was burgled while the owners were away on holidays.
They returned to find a gold bracelet, two 18 carat white gold rings, a white gold diamond bracelet and a nine carat diamond bangle missing.
Detective Senior Constable Melinda Beal urged members of the public to come forward if they had any information.
"We are calling for any witnesses, anyone who has seen the items or anything suspicious in the area around that time to contact the Ararat Police Station,” she said.
