Ballarat artist and printmaker Vida Pearson, who is currently showcasing her lino-cuts as part of the WAMA sponsored ‘Feathers fur and Flowers’ exhibition, will be on hand at the gallery.
She will demonstrate how she created her compositions, the cutting of the design and the final printing process, which could be done with a “simple wooden spoon”.
Ms Pearson will answer questions about her work and the medium of lino-cut, but also to discuss her inspirations and life as a professional artist.
With over 30 years of experience in this field she has promised much to share with attendees.
“A lot of people don’t know about the lino-cut technique and production,” she said.
“So I am there to show people how to do it and talk about where I got my inspiration from.
“If you have questions about lino-cuts, now is the time, it will be great to share my expertise.”
