Tracey Dark will become the first netballer in the history of the Stawell Football and Netball Club (SFNC) to play 400 games.
Dark will reach the milestone when Stawell host Dimboola on Saturday.
President of the SFNC and close friend Debbie Bach said she is incredibly proud of Dark.
“Tracey is a legend of our club.
“We are so proud of her to be the first to reach this milestone,” she said.
Dark has won numerous accolades in her time for Warriors and Stawell, including three A Grade league best and fairest awards and four club best and fairest awards.
She was also inducted as a Life Member of the SFNC in 2007 and of the Wimmera Netball Association in 2014.
Dark has played 290 A Grade games, and 109 in B Grade.
Bach said Dark’s off field efforts are just as impressive and vast as her on field ones.
“She has coached and developed so many juniors over the years at our club.
“Whether it be creating programs or umpiring or a long list of other things, Tracey has always been involved,” she said.
Bach said Dark’s longevity has been amazing.
“Tracey will be as determined in her 400th match as she was in her first.
“She gives so much on the court, always encouraging and giving direction to her teammates.
“She plays hard and fair, and always puts the team first,” she said.
Stawell will celebrate Dark’s milestone on Saturday night.
Bach said it will be an opportunity to recognise all that she has done for the club.
“I know how much this club means to Tracey and how much she loves it.
“I am so proud proud to call her my friend,” she said.
