David Gehan won more than $1300 in prize money after his dog “came home great” to beat the other competitors.
“He is a handful. He barks, jumps and kicks, but he goes all right,” Mr Gehan said.
“It is the second win for us so far and now we will be off to Warrnambool next Tuesday to compete again.”
Mr Gehan has been racing greyhounds for 15 years and said it was great to experience a winning feeling.
“It all comes down to luck,” he said.
“If he misses the start he is in trouble, but he does very well sometimes.”
Full of Baloney won his first race on the Ballarat track in January.
“He’ll be racing there again the following Monday, so hopefully he does well,” Mr Gehan said.
“He had the name Full of Baloney when I get him, it suits his character.
“He is barking all the time and full of energy, he uses a lot of that energy out when he is racing.”
Race officials took a sample of urine from Full of Boloney after his Bendigo win to test for drugs, results came back negative.
