Stawell Historical Society is hosting a new display at its premises, the Women’s Contributions to Stawell Through the Ages exhibition.

The display will be open to the public on Wednesday and Thursday between 11am and 4pm.
Historical Society publicity officer Carol Anne Jones said the exhibition had been a hit with residents so far.
“On Tuesday last week we had 41 members from the Stawell Probus Club visit the museum at the Stawell Historical Society and they thoroughly enjoyed the display we had on offer,” she said.
“The Historical Society is starting to go through themes and looking at hosting a variety of different exhibitions, alongside our regular displays that we have on show.”
Ms Jones encouraged members of the community to view the displays and contribute items which may not be any value to the owner, but could possess significant historical value to Stawell and the region.
“We are located at 46 Longfield Street and always happy to accept contributions,” she said.
