Stawell resident Betty Chamings went to use the toilet around 1pm when she encountered the mess.
“I went to use the toilet and a woman with her daughter were just coming out and they were telling me that I should be careful in there because there were eggs everywhere,” she said.
“I went inside and there were smashed eggs all over the walls and door and all down the mirror, the eggs were smashed to smithereens.”
Mrs Chamings said she had lived in Stawell for her whole life and it was disappointing to see it trashed.
“I am a Stawell girl and I take pride in my town, our townspeople should be looking after the town,” she said.
“I am concerned about crime nowadays, it is not like it used to be, now I tend to lock everything up because in my area I have seen trees broken and letterboxes smashed, it is shocking.
“I am so disappointed this has happened, why should we put up with this.”
Stawell Sergeant Simon Grant said any acts of anti-social behaviour needed to be reported to police.
“These types of behaviour need to be reported to police so we can identify the crime and perpetrator and target our patrols,” he said.
“Anti-social behaviour often leads to more serious crimes further down the track so it must be reported.”
