The Brim Silo Art Facebook group posted photos of the visit, which will contribute to a new series of the popular show next year.
MasterChef Australia host and food critic Matt Preston can been seen in the photos being filmed under a marquee.
World-renowned chef Heston Blumenthal and MasterChef hosts George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan also visited the silos.
“Amazing day MasterChef at Brim Silos. Who would have thought this would happen 12 months ago,” the group posted.
“Great to see what goes on behind the scenes.
“Looking forward to the new series later in the year.”
Brim Active Community Group president Shane Wardle said residents were impressed by the amount of gear the TV crews brought in.
“They had everything, including the kitchen sink,” he said.
“They brought in trucks with five kitchens, pantries, make up artists and all the equipment.”
Mr Wardle said bystanders were not allowed to take pictures of the contestants.
“They’re halfway through filming the new season and reckon people would be able to tell who’d been kicked out of the competition,” he said.
The MasterChef crews set up a base of operations at the Brim Sports and Community Centre.
Mr Wardle said MasterChef’s production company reached out to Yarriambiack Shire and sent a few people to Brim to scout the location.
“Yarrimabiack Shire did well with supporting them. If you wanted them to come, there would be no way you'd get them.”
Mr Wardle said MasterChef had planned to use ingredients from around Brim.
Member for Lowan Emma Kealy said it was a great achievement for the Brim Active Community group.
“This is so awesome! Who would ever predict art would bring MasterChef to Brim?!,” she posted on Facebook.
