Nhill town committee secretary Helen Ross said the award-winning fiestas were non-for-profit and offered a variety of music stylings.
“Every Friday evening in February the Nhill Lake Reserve lights up to music, food, dancing, children’s entertainment and art,” she said.
Ms Ross said the first celebration, on February 3, has a rock and roll theme with Pete Daffy and his Rockabilly Boys performing, supported by Wimmera musicians.
“The food area offers a wide variety of delicious delights including vegetarian, Asian and Indian menus and a good Aussie barbecue plus ice cream, coffee and sweet treats,” she said.
“Children are well catered for with the annual teddy bears picnic.
“There is even a giant teddy who will give you a hug, while we take your photo.
Ms Ross said children could also enjoy the sand mountain and jumping castle.
This year the committee will be yarn-bombing the trees at Nhill Lake Reserve and encourage all residents to join them.
“Evening will see a display of floating sculpture on the waters of the lake,” Ms Ross said.
“These sculptures were created by Wimmera artists and school children and will be lit with sparkling lights and colours.
“It’s quite a spectacle.”
