Buangor has had just one team entered since the beginning of the season, but some changes to the format see them wanting to enter a team in the B grade competition.
They will field a B grade team well as the team who already play in A grade.
Buangor approached the Grampians Cricket Association executive committee on Monday night, and on Thursday night it was agreed that they would enter the competition.
GCA president David Turner was pleased to see a team prepared to play even though it was late in the season.
“They want to play cricket so we are happy to see that happen,” Turner said.

“They will play for points but with three games to go the points will be irrelevant for them, but it may affect the other teams.”
The points will come into place following the break for Australia Day.
This weekend Buangor will likely line up against Pomonal.
“Pomonal are still unsure whether they will play or not because they were scheduled for the bye,” Turner said.
The extra team in the competition will mean there is no longer a bye round.
