Eventide chief executive Sue Blakey said it was a “full on” experience for many of the residents.
“It was a great opportunity for all residents to get together and I would like to thank all of our staff, volunteers and residents for making Christmas at Eventide very special,” she said.
“Throughout the week leading into Christmas, our wonderful food services team served traditional home baked dinners for both Eventide residents and independent living residents.”
Residents and volunteers also participated in the StawellBiz Christmas Parade riding in a convertible and car down Main Street.
“Others had the thrill of being wheeled through the parade thanks to Stawell Secondary College students and Eventide volunteers,” Ms Blakey said.
“Staff borrowed a gopher or two and passed lollies to the crowd, a great night was had by all.”
Ms Blakey said it was great to see the community come together for the Christmas Festival and looked ahead to next year’s festivities.
“Eventide were honoured to receive the trophy for the best float which we have proudly displayed at our front counter,” she said.
“We are looking forward to another exciting festive period in December.”
