Australia Day committee member Leonie Bibby said community members could expect a breakfast at Navarre Park and be followed by a flag raising ceremony.
Ms Bibby also said it was a privilege to have Mr Hendy from St Arnaud speak at the ceremony.
“Troy will be a fantastic speaker and we would love as many as we can get to attend,” she said.
“Drought is very close to all our hearts and what Troy has helped to do is simply amazing to all those families in desperate need.”
Mr Hendy involved three of his trucks on the previous two hay runs after hay was donated by St Arnaud district farmers.
He said he was excited to share his experiences to the crowd on January 26.
“I want to get out the message on the Australian spirit coming out during the Hay Run and how it is about giving back to others and supporting drought stricken farmers,” he said.
