Business owner Robert Dowley arrived at work on Friday morning and discovered an axe on the driveway.
“They have tried to hack off copper pipe, the fence around the rear of the premises was also lifted up and gates were stolen,” he said.
“It is disappointing and senseless especially because the gates are not of real value so it is more destructive and annoying than anything.”
Mr Dowley said the premises was fitted with an alarm and CCTV, but no intelligence was identified.
Stawell Sergeant Russell Brown said the incident was being investigated.
