Burdett said the league approached him to be involved again and he was more than happy to do so.
“I like being able to give back to the league,” he said.
“These games are all about the league and not the individual clubs.
“There is no reason why we should not be able to get at least one player from every club involved.”
Burdett said he was setting his sights on helping Horsham move back up the ladder instead of down.
“If we get the opportunity to put our best side together there is no reason why that can not happen,” he said.
“I think Mallee Football League got up to about 11 when everyone came together to contribute.
“It was a great effort for a league that size and that’s what we need to try to do.”
The Horsham district league sides host Colac in May, meaning more players may put their hand up to play.
“Every club has to travel a fair bit during the season so playing locally should help,” Burdett said.
“It will allow us to showcase the league and the best players in the league.
“It is pretty prestigious to be involved in interleague. We need to keep that in mind as we move forward.”
