The ceremony will be re-located to the front of the Stawell library, where the new memorial has been placed, from this November.
It will be dedicated to Stawell and district soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War.
Sub-branch secretary Des Leonard said all future Remembrance Day ceremonies will be hosted at the new memorial at the library.
“We have planted trees down Patrick street which have made an Avenue of Honour,” he said.
“The new memorial will be the beginning of the avenue with another smaller memorial at the end of it.”
The memorial is dedicated to 159 soldiers.
