It will be a tough match for the Stawell based team.
The prospect of winning becomes even greater for the Wildcats who will go into the match without its captain Matt Bourke and fellow big men Ben Hodgetts and Jake Stainsby.
With both Bourke and Hodgetts unavailable with work commitments the Wildcats will rely on Jason Cameron.
Cameron has been strong on the glass in offence and defence as well as shot blocking, but Stawell need more out of him offensively.
Offensively Sam Cronin has been Stawell’s leading scorer.
Cronin has a fast first step which often leads to open lanes.
Josh Day will have a second chance to have an impact as he suits up once again.
Dominic Didomenico will return to the line up giving Stawell another scoring option.
Last week Stawell struggled to get open looks against the high pressure defence of Horsham. The shot clock expired on a number of occasion against Horsham, but with Didomenico back in the team the ball should move more freely.
Stawell coach Jarred Ohayon is worried about the depth of players he has this week with only two players on his bench.
“With only two people on the bench it makes it really difficult,” Ohayon said.
“It means the guys that are on court need to play smart defence and cant afford to get injured. It is a shame we have no numbers because at full strength we might have been half a chance.”
Having already lost two games this season Wildcats will be hoping a win isnt too far away.
Playing to their advantage will be that Warrnambool have to play Mount Gambier on the Saturday night.
Stawell will have the fresher legs for the Sunday clash.
Tip off is 2pm from St Josephs Primary school Warrnambool.
